JANUARY
The idea of creating the global network for sharing the work and material was invented by Mr. Jyrki Terva as the method aroused interest among visiting teachers in Tampere Polytechnic. Furthermore, Mr. Esa Kujansuu introduced the material and method during his visits in Romania and China. The idea of CodeWitz Project was further developed by Mr. Marko Kulmala and Mr. Esa Kujansuu: agreement drafts were created, web site was built and project was opened for external partners.
Year 2000
JANUARY
The visualization material for teaching C++ and Java was tested with success in Tampere Polytechnic's internal education since 2000.
1998-1999
JANUARY
The method for building visualizing tools for teaching of mathematics and programming were invented and developed in Tampere Polytechnic under the lead of Mr. Esa Kujansuu, to respond to escalating demand of professionals with strong programming skills. In Finland alone the need of ICT professionals is estimated to grow quadruple by the end of the 2010.
